Resort Terrestre: A Photo voltaic Powered, Open-Air Resort in Puerto Escondido

At Resort Terrestre in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, the structure is stripped to fundamental components: native brick, swimming pools of water for plunging, bedrooms open to the air, and verandas located to face the solar. The truth is, the resort is 100% photo voltaic powered—and visitors, too, are inspired to unplug: to “disconnect from know-how and reconnect with nature, synchronizing their day with the cycle of the solar,” as the positioning says.

Designed by architect Alberto Kalach and Taller de Arquitectura X (TAX), with interiors by Fernanda Romandia and Diana Backal, every construction is designed to additional reference to “water, flora, mild, and air.”
