huge B: Embroidery Decoration – Ending The Again Of The Hoop / Challenge Particulars

Listed below are all the main points of the monogram Christmas decoration venture I first posted about{right here}.

I used 4 completely different stitches on this venture.  For the letter, the evergreen and gold flower stems I used the Again Sew.  The evergreen needles, the snowflakes and star are all Straight Sew.  The purple berries are French Knots and the gold leaves are Lazy Daisy Sew.

I used a easy shade palette as properly – listed below are the floss shade numbers:

Every monogram on this sample set is completely sized to suit a 3″ embroidery hoop.  After I stitched this, I used a bigger hoop with a beneficiant quantity of material.  This made for a better time stitching and in addition ensured that I had sufficient material so I may collect the uncooked material edges and end them on the bottom of the ring.

After I completed the stitching, I transferred it to the three” hoop:

Subsequent, utilizing about 20″ of embroidery floss, I ran a Basting Sew all the way in which across the hoop.  I made  certain to go away 2″ tails of floss each at first of the Basting Sew and on the finish.

I trimmed my material to about 1-1/2″ from the Basting Sew line:

Then I gently pulled each floss tails till the material gathered into a decent circle across the bottom of the ring.  I tied the tails collectively.

To make a clear end on the bottom of the ring, I used a 3″ circle of cardstock.

and glued it to the ring.

I added a purple twine to the tightening screw on the ring and my decoration was prepared to hold!
